In a world where many artisan skills have been lost, we’re proud to collaborate with small, artisan workshops to create our unique products. Our intricate handbags and wallets are handmade by skilled craftspeople who have worked together for decades. We value our role in helping time-honoured crafts continue to flourish.

Our ‘forever treasured’ philosophy informs the exceptional quality and durability of the fabrics and trims we source from reputable high-end fabric houses, including luxurious natural linens, silks and velvets. Genuine premium leather comes from a small Italian atelier, and where possible vegetable dyes are used to create beautiful hues unique to Spencer & Rutherford.

In line with our ‘forever’ thinking, we offer an expert repair service. Customers are encouraged to contact us if a favourite handbag ever needs a little love to bring her back to her best.
